Discover the rich marine life of Mallorca with these two unique boat trips
All our boats have underwater vision, allowing you to look below the surface during navigation. But only on two of our boat tours can the seabed be seen clearly. Shallow waters, absolute clarity, and underwater landscapes that seem straight out of a documentary. Each offers this world in its own way, with different and spectacular scenarios.
Glass-bottom boat in Mallorca
Cala San Vicente and El Colomer
The seabed is just one part of everything you will experience on this boat tour. Sail between cliffs, contemplate the Cape of Formentor and its lighthouse from the sea, and enjoy a swim in pristine coves with crystal-clear waters in northern Mallorca.

During the boat trip, we anchor on a sandy bottom with turquoise and transparent waters. Although marine life is scarce in this area, the beauty of the surroundings more than compensates. On the way back towards Cape Formentor, we skirt the impressive north coast of Mallorca, exploring hidden coves and rock formations that harbour a rich marine life. It is in this section where, thanks to the underwater vision of our catamarans, you can observe schools of fish, waving seagrass meadows, and other treasures of the seabed.

Boat trip to Cap Formentor
This boat trip combines seabed, unspoiled nature, and breath-taking landscapes. Discover hidden coves, explore the coast of Formentor, and feel the purity of the Mediterranean in every corner, where the sea and calm create an unforgettable experience.

During the anchoring on our boat tour to Cape Formentor, you will have the opportunity to look into the underwater world in all its splendour. Whether in Cala Murta or Cala en Gossalba, two pristine enclaves with shallow waters, the underwater vision of our boat reveals a vibrant landscape. Schools of fish, waving seagrass meadows, and rock formations covered in life. The clarity of the water in these quiet coves allows you to enjoy an authentic window to the seabed, without the need to dive. A unique opportunity to discover the biodiversity hidden under the sea.
Windows to the seabed of Mallorca, that's the underwater vision on our boats
Our catamarans are equipped with underwater windows located in the two hulls of the boat, which allow you to literally look at the seabed while sailing. Each hull has seven glass panels (approximately 1 meter by 70 cm), distributed so that both children and adults can enjoy what happens below the surface. During the journey, these windows become authentic natural screens where it is possible to observe fish, rock formations, waving seagrass meadows, and, on some occasions, even entire schools of marine life in motion. For the little ones, it is a fascinating experience. Being “inside” the sea without getting wet, with the excitement of discovering a new world under their feet. In addition to underwater vision, our boats offer everything you need for a comfortable journey. Open upper deck to enjoy the sun and views, interior area with shade and cushioned seats. They also have a bar on board and a bathroom, so you don’t lack anything during the boat trip. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, you will find your ideal place on board.
The opinions of our clients
our best letter of introduction
It’s a different way to explore the coast. I thought the interior space with the submerged windows was well designed. We didn’t see a huge variety of sea life, but there were plenty of posidonia meadows and rocky formations. A good option if you don’t want to get wet.
The excursion was great, but the underwater viewing didn’t quite meet my expectations. The space is a bit enclosed and although the windows let you see the sea, in our case visibility wasn’t very good. Maybe the water conditions played a part. The kids enjoyed it more than I did.
The excursion to Cala San Vicente was simply spectacular. As for the underwater viewing, the windows are located in the lower part of the boat, angled toward the sea, which allows you to see the seabed quite clearly if the water is calm. It’s not mind-blowing, but it is very relaxing.
A good boat trip, different from the usual. The underwater viewing system is well thought out, although it really depends on how clear the water is. Sometimes you see quite a lot, other times not so much. Still, the coastal route is beautiful. We did the Cape Formentor route and it was the highlight of the trip. Seeing the lighthouse from the sea, swimming in Cala Murta, and then relaxing while watching the underwater world was the full package.
I thought it was a lovely activity. The interior of the boat is cool, clean, and comfortable to sit in while watching the underwater world go by. We were lucky and saw quite a few fish. In our case, we did the Cala San Vicente excursion and it was spectacular. The contrast between the cliffs, the color of the water, and that feeling of being “inside the sea” while looking through the windows was amazing. Highly recommended.
My kids loved it. The underwater viewing area is well designed, comfortable to sit in and watch during the ride. We saw schools of fish and sea plants swaying with the current. Very calm, ideal for families with young children. And the underwater view is just one of the highlights. Cape Formentor is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the views of the lighthouse and had a lovely swim in a beautiful cove before heading back. A perfect day.
Frequently asked questions
about our glass-bottom boat trips
Can You See the Seabed on all Boat Trips with Underwater Vision in Mallorca?
All our boats are equipped with underwater vision, but it is not possible to observe the seabed clearly on all routes. This depends mainly on the depth of the water and the light conditions. Only on the Cala San Vicente and Cabo de Formentor boat tours can you really enjoy an underwater experience from the boat, as we sail through areas of crystal-clear and shallow waters.

What Factors Influence Underwater Visibility?
Underwater visibility depends mainly on two factors: the depth of the water and the sea conditions. In shallow areas with calm waters, such as the coves where we anchor, the vision from the boat is much clearer and sharper. In Mallorca, especially during the summer months, the conditions are usually optimal. The water is crystal clear, and the sunlight favours excellent visibility below the surface. Although it may vary slightly depending on the day, it is usual to enjoy a good view of the seabed during the parts of the boat trip where there is little depth.
